چکیده

Background Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score (JADAS) is a recently developed composite tool for scoring disease activity in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). JADAS consists of four items; the joint count, the physician and the patient’s/parent’s global assessment and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) as an inflammatory marker. Creactive protein (CRP) has been suggested as an alternative inflammatory marker [1].

PReS-FINAL-2021: JADAS-CRP instead of JADAS-ESR...results from REUMA.PT

Introduction Recently, Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score (JADAS) was found to be a valid instrument for assessment of disease activity. JADAS was developed with erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) because C-reactive protein (CRP) values were not available in all databases used to validate the tool. Nordal et al compared recently in a Nordic population the JADAS based on CRP with JADAS ...

Final validation of a new composite disease activity score for juvenile idiopathic arthritis: the Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score (JADAS)

Materials and methods The JADAS is composed of the following measures: 1) physician's global assessment (0–10); 2) parent's global assessment (0–10); 3) active joint count (assessed in 71, 27 or 10 joints); 4) ESR (normalized to 0–10). It yields a score ranging from 0 to 40, 57 or 101, depending on whether the whole 71-joint count (JADAS-71) or the 27joint (JADAS-27) or 10-joint (JADAS-10) redu...

Validity of a three-variable Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score in children with new-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis

OBJECTIVES To investigate the validity and feasibility of the Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score (JADAS) in the routine clinical setting for all juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) disease categories and explore whether exclusion of the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) from JADAS (the 'JADAS3') influences correlation with single markers of disease activity. METHODS JADAS-71, JADAS-...

Use of the JADAS criteria to assess efficacy of canakinumab in patients with SJIA – an analysis of 12-week pooled data

Introduction The composite score JADAS 2 27-CRP (J27), 10-CRP (J10), and cut-off values for inactive (ID), low (LDA), moderate (MDA) and high disease activity (HDA) were designed to monitor the level of disease activity in all JIA subtypes. The efficacy of canakinumab (CAN), a selective, human, anti-IL-1b monoclonal antibody, was previously demonstrated in SJIA in phase III trials using aACR-JI...
